The emWave Program for Stopping Emotional Eating includes the Stopping Emotional Eating; The emWave® Stress and Weight Management Program book and an emWave2.

The emWave Program for Stopping Emotional Eating will show how to manage emotional reactions and clear emotional undercurrents until a new baseline behavior — a neural habit change is achieved.

This solution is not a typical weight loss program. This may be the only weight management program that doesn't focus on what you eat, but rather on what you feel. This is about understanding and eliminating emotional eating.

This program offers instruction on how to create a neural habit change to facilitate weight loss and a better relationship with food and eating. You won't see any food lists or exercise regimens in this program. While these are important aspects in reducing weight and improving health, this program focuses on what researchers at the Institute of HeartMath have found to be the first and most important aspect of weight management: regulating your emotions.

Available in charcoal gray or silver blue.

I'm a Reiki practitoner who meditates, and also deals with anxiety and depression.

I have so far been able to use this to effectively and successfully control anxiety, stress, and anger at home or when I'm out. Before I work with Reiki, I can make sure I'm in the proper "zone" to get the most out of it. When I meditate, I can make sure I'm in the proper zone there too. It helps me get to sleep faster, and stay there. I know there's more uses; I'm experimenting as much as possible.

I purchased this to help me work through quitting some nasty anti-depressants. I give it two thumbs up for how much it's helped with that, and 2 big toes up for everything else it's helping me with.

It seemed pricey, but not after I calculated the annual cost of meds and doctor visits, and then thought about the lack of side effects associated with this biofeedback method.

Oh, and it's insanely easy to use, especially if you take the time to read the user's manual and work through the 30-minute (free!) online tutorial. If you're still confused, you can join a free teleclass.

So if I need to use it to, say, control an impending panic attack, I can fire it up and use it immediately - no flipping through the manual looking for that set of instructions I thought was "right there, dammit!"

I'm so glad I can finally move on with my life, drug-free.

I find this small instrument extemely worthwhile. For me, it does more than relieve stress. It also clears my mind so that I think more clearly and direct than in a long, long time. I highly recommend it for that purpose, and I especially recommend it for any child with learning disabilities or anything related.

You also need to know, however, it sometimes is a challenge to use in the correct way. Or at least I find it so, and by the I mean if my mind is too loaded up, I have difficulty getting to and then staying in the high coherence level. But, I do keep trying, and mostly, I get there. Do buy it, though it is expensive. It is that worthwhile.

emWave 2 Training Videos:

As you learn the functionality of your emWave2 we also suggest you read through the practice plan. This plan will give you information on using the emWave with the HeartMath Quick Coherence Technique® so you can quickly start enjoying the benefits of your emWave product.

Getting Started With Your emWave2
emWave2 Setup Mode
emWave2 determines the degree of coherence found in your heart rhythm patterns and displays changes in real-time on the Coherence Level Indicator. In Setup Mode two sets of blue lights appear on the Heart Action Strip. The bars at the top of the Heart Action Strip indicate the Challenge Level. The bars at the bottom indicate the Display Brightness.

Adjusting the Lights on Your emWave2:
Adjusting the Audio on Your emWave2
The brightness of the lights is set to a default level of one, on a scale of one to four. A short press on the bottom of the Sensor Button will cycle you through the four levels of brightness. You can adjust the Volume Level or turn it off only when in an active session. Once you have entered an active session, each short press on the bottom of the Sensor Button cycles you through the three Volume Level settings and "sound off".

emWave2 Reward Cycle

Turning Your emWave2 On and Off
The Coherence Score is represented by the sounds of reward tones and a series of blue lights. To turn the power off, perform a medium press (two seconds) on the bottom of the Sensor Button. When you see the lights fade out, emWave2 is shutting off.

Glossary of Terms

Cardiac Coherence — A mode of cardiac function in which the heart's rhythmic and electrical output is highly ordered. HeartMath research has shown that the positive emotions such as love, care, and appreciation increase coherence in the heart?s rhythmic beating patterns. During states of cardiac coherence, brain wave patterns have been shown to entrain with heart rate variability patterns; in addition, nervous system balance and immune function are enhanced. Overall, the body functions with increased harmony and efficiency.

Coherence — Logical connectedness, internal order, or harmony among the components of a system. This term can also refer to the tendency toward increased order in the informational content of a system or in the information flow between systems. In physics, two or more waveforms that are phase-locked together (so that their energy is constructive) are described as coherent. Coherence can also be attributed to a single waveform, in which case it denotes an ordered or constructive distribution of power content. Recently, there has been a growing scientific interest in coherence in living systems. When a system is coherent, virtually no energy is wasted, because of the internal synchronization among the parts. In organizations, increased coherence enables the emergence of new levels of creativity, cooperation, productivity, and quality at all levels.

Heart Rate Variability (HRV) — The normally occurring beat-to-beat changes inheart rate. Analysis of HRV is an important tool used to assess the function and balance of the autonomic nervous system. HRV is considered a key indicator of aging, cardiac health, and overall well-being.

Stress — Pressure, strain, or a sense of inner turmoil resulting from our perception and reactions to events or conditions. A state of negative emotional arousal, usually associated with feelings of discomfort or anxiety that we attribute to our circumstances or situation.
